This website provides information on rove beetles (Staphylinidae, excl. Pselaphinae et Scaphidiinae) of the Weser-Ems region (North Western Germany), with emphasis on the East Frisian Islands (German Waddensea National Park).
Furthermore, hundreds of stereopictures of Staphylinidae from Rhodos and Turkey are presented, including several types and paratypes of new species later-on described by Volker Assing.
Marine expeditions brought me to Antarctica, the overwhelmingly beautiful ice continent. I took a lot of photographs there which can be viewed in the 'Projects & Pictures' section. High resolution pictures may be ordered from the author.
